When I begin accelerating in first at low rpm's my car smokes. I'm hoping its not rings or valve stem seals. Can anyone troubleshoot my problem?

160k on a ka24de. No over heating issues as of lately. I did a head gasket about 6k ago. It was overheating back then but not any more. It just started smoking yesterday, unless I didn't notice it. This is bad. I'm not in the mood to work an engine. Gotta do what ya gotta do I guess.

Blue smoke is oil, I'm assuming you knew that. If it smokes all the time it might be rings or bad head gasket. Try a compression check.

If it smokes only a bit after you first start it after it has been siting a while, that is usually bad stem seals/guides.

To add, if you had overheating issues prior, this could have warped the head thus not sealing perfectly. If it is a bad HG, there will most likely be oil in the coolant and vice versa.

For a quick test, you can do a compression test, if you find a low cylinder, poor a cap full off oil in, it the pressure increase a lot, you have bad rings; otherwise good chance it's valve stem seals.

I'm really leaning towards bad valve stem seals. Theres no signs of a head gasket ie milkyness or mixing and googling bad valve stem seals led me to the exact symptoms I'm having. The head was checked also. Woot. I believe its time to dig into the head. Thanks guys.
