I'm not going to get it. I thought I made them a pretty convincing deal but they want like $31,750 out the door with an Elite warranty (I was shooting for like $28k OTD w/ warranty due to me being ahead on my loan thus a decent down payment) but they will only give me $14k for my car (wholesale) instead of KBB/NADA trade-in which is anywhere from $18,750-19,500. I realize my car is high mileage and harder to sell on the lot, but $5k right off the bat is a bit steep IMO. Not to mention my car is MINT inside AND I have 100% of it's maintenance history down to the wiper changes. Guess that doesn't matter. Outside has a couple nicks (both bumpers - 4 total nicks) which would cost the dealer probably $500 to fix.DredM56 wrote:Don't be copying my M bro lol. That's what I have my G was the same color. I have the two tone black and stone interior. There's a pic of it here http://www.dragtimes.com/Infiniti-M56-T ... 28724.html
That's actually a good deal I just looked it up. It has all the options as mine it looks like and 14kmi less and is only like a grand more. I had to drive 4hours one way for mine too.

when trading in, in my experience, dealers tend not to look at specifics like THE ACTUAL CONDITION OF THE CAR, or in your case your maintenance records, etc. They look up the specs on a spreadsheet make/model/miles and treat it like a commodity. To us car enthusiasts, it's ridiculous to think that way (I'm not buying 100 shares of coca-cola or microsoft) but that's how they think.Ilya wrote:I'm not going to get it. Current payment is $450, if they could keep it to around $500 or $490, I'd do it. But a new loan with their numbers would have been like $560. Can't eat that, especially not since I have a wedding to pay for lol. Thought about going 66 or 72 months but the car is already 5 years old...even if I paid extra each month that's an easy way to go upside down on a car.
So, forget it. I'll just love my baby a little extra and hope she don't have any electrical issues post-warranty. I'm pretty confident in Nissan/Infiniti engines/transmissions, but not so much in the electronics (the more gizmos, the more stuff that could break).
From them? 18k depending on sale price...so +/-. Basically what I'm looking for is a difference of around $11,500 between their car and mine...but they keep coming in at like $14,000 difference meaning they are off by 2-3k. They upped their whole sale price for my car to $15k and included the 82k warranty for $2,100 but I'm still not happy. There are like 5 M56x's on autotrader with the same miles or more as mine for $19-20,500. No way I'm going to let a dealer take me for $4k even if they bring it to an auction...that isn't my problem IMO.DredM56 wrote:What's the least you'll take for your car
