Blue Relay Noise, Car wont start :(

OK I will start from the top on this one. I come out of work, warm up my car (s14-1996) for a few minutes. I take off for home, when 5 minutes into the drive I hear this strange noise coming from under the dash, on the passenger side. Right at the start of the noise my car turns off as if it lost power.

So I pull over and inspect everything. I notice that my tachometer is jumping up and down, and my engine check light is coming up too. The strange part is that the Tachometer, Check engine light, and the noise all react at the same time. So I call one of my friends to help me out. I open up the side wall where the ECU is. I notice that behind it are 2 blue relays, and that the one on the left is the culprit of the noise.

The car has power, it cranks normal, and everything else powers up. The only thing is the damn machine wont fire up. I went to Nissan bought the relay, install it, and still the same problem. So now I know is not the relay. So what the heck could it be? Please any one, I am sure I am not the only person that has had this problem.

Please guys any help would be appreciated; I need this car for work. I can’t afford to pay Nissan to fix it. So any help will do.

have you tryed leaving the ECU out and when the problem comes around reading the Error lights on it?

you also need to find out what that relay feeds, chances are that you have a loose or bad wire that is the culprit for the noisy relay
