Blue pulsating light

With my car in ECO mode and the avg MPG displayed there is a pulsating blue light on my display. What is that indicating and what causes the pulsating to change?

that seems to fluctuate with how much you press the accelerator and the speed of the Rogue. My guess it is a visual of your fuel economy.
