Took the family on a daytime outing to see the Blue Man Group in New York City yesterday. What an awesome show! Very clever and cool. We were in the 4th row in the "splash zone", where they give you a poncho just in case. There is some audience participation so I tried to coax them to choose my son, but they went for a girl right beside me on the other side. Sorry no pics, as they had strict rules about cameras there. I do have one shot of my son and his GF posed with one of the performers in the lobby post show, but I'm waiting for my son to email it to me.

Since the theatre was in Greenwich Village, and the weather was perfect, after the show we strolled down Waverly Place thru part of NYU's campus to nearby Washington Square Park (the park with the big arch). We stopped and watched some street performers do some acrobatics beside the big fountain. After that we walked a bit more and stopped at a little italian bistro for a late lunch, (pretty good eats). Then a quick cab ride back to Penn Station for the one hour train ride home. A really fun day in the city that Jesda hates most. :chuckle:

IF any of you plan to visit NYC, Blue man Group is worth seeing. :dblthumb:

I didn't know they were still around. I wouldn't mind going to see them, but Cirque Du Soliel is much higher on that list.

Saw Cirque in Philly awhile back. They put on an excellent show too.

Is that park still all messed up and under construction? When I was there last year we were working on the dorm closest to that park.

I didn't see anything under construction inside the park, but that big scaffolding is still up on the dorm building across the street from the chess tables...

I went to see them here in Chicago. It really is an excellent show and well worth it. We were sitting in the row right behind the "splash zone" so we did not get a poncho. However, I got some type off ooze stuff on me.
