Like I said earlier. I would not remove just yet, wait until a year or so. I never remove mine and I had a part go bad, because of my car, I was told, that one part was not checked on the assembly line for all my model car and within a year that car had a recall. It was due to the fact that the wrong size clamp was used on that part. I was told that every car on the assembly was not inspected for the part, so they recalled all the cars for a clamp. So it is very useful to have. If it wasnt for that mark, the service people would of not known of this issue, but when they didnt see a mark, they questioned it's install.Patrick K wrote:I have no idea what they are but I would love to remove them if anyone knows how to get them off. I have tried ever cleaner that I always use and work on everything except the blue dots.
All this dialogue matches up with some of my original comments.cjre1 wrote:THANK GOD FOR THE MARKS!!!
And yet, the EX-35`s still suffers from Leaky Sun-Roofs, Noisy Fuel Pumps, Faulty Tilt-Wheel Switches, Defective Steering Racks, Weak Hatch Struts... and a host of other problems discussed on this Forum.cjre1 wrote:I believe that all Infiniti cars have 8 inspection points, whereas ford, Hundai, GMC, Chysler, etc have 3.
I have to drive sometimes loaners when I am in the States. I drove EX 3 times and every single one of them was suffering some kind of rattle, noise and one of them died just made it back. Died on me in the parking lot. Looks like EX is kind of behind the Infiniti line up in the quality department. I drove FX, 2 differnet G's plus my 2 G's and 1 M45 and all were/are awesome with no issue. Actually my 07 had wind noise kind of whisle above 110mph. They fixed it.EXceptional wrote:

I`d rather have better quality control and better parts... than a Thousand Dots, anyday.
This is what I thought, too. Some early Chevy's I bought, their Rims came with Decal Dots to signify the heavy spot of the Rim... and then the heavy spot of the Tire was placed 180 degrees opposite.zozoka1212 wrote:Infiniti is actually using the blue dots for ballancing reason also beside the inspection purpose.
Sometimes you can see red dots on the tires and they are right beside each other.
Blue is the heaviest part of the wheel and the red is the lightest part of the tire. Red is not always there. Since tires are lot better balanced than wheels.
It's to help match up the tire to the wheel using the least amount of weights for the smoothest balance. No tire or wheel is perfectly balanced so this is a way to match them up with the least amount of balance mis-match.
Funny thing you say this, when my last car had the blue dots, my mechanic said that they were in the wrong place for being for ballancing. He had to rebalance them and not use them as a guide. FYI: No red dots on the rim or tire at all.zozoka1212 wrote:Infiniti is actually using the blue dots for ballancing reason also beside the inspection purpose.

Did he just ballanced the wheels or wheels with the tires on? Blue dot is just for the wheels not with the tires.cjre1 wrote:Funny thing you say this, when my last car had the blue dots, my mechanic said that they were in the wrong place for being for ballancing.
