I know this will be described as rice and what not, but guys, tell me these are not the bluest day time running lights (those little bulbs under the actual low/high beams bulbs in the H4 housings) you've ever seen. How do you achieve such Effel 69 state of blue, you ask? (or you don't ask cuz ur muttering "rice" under ur breath, but u kinda wanna know). Well get those little 1156 bulbs and spray coat them with about 10 layers of blue spray paint. When you turn on ur regular low/high beams, u cannot see that blue anymore. But if you have fog lights and can turn them on searatly from the low/high beams...Well that's what I am gonna do... Then turn on some Eiffel and ur all set. :ylsuper

(the other half of my consciousness apologizes profusely for the ricyness of the other half)

I don't understand... you DIDN'T paint your high/low beam bulds... right. But you painted some OTHER bulbs that are..... where? did you mount some bulbs in the headlight assembly somewhere.... did you already have daytime running lights? I'm at a loss here.

OK, the H4 housign has TWO holes. One is for the actual H4 bul which is used for low/high beams. Then another hole, very small, right underneath the big one, is used in european cars as a parking/day time running light. That bulb I spray painted blue. Hope that solves all the confusion.

Ok, call me dumb, but in our headlights(s13) is there just one bulb? so like when you turn on the brights the light just lights brighter?

hehe i like that last line, kind of a tongue twister

Hahaha! Good old blinks for some well placed sarcasm. I don't like em. Looks ricey. I'm glad you like em, though. That's all that matters.

well that IS the plan... I do need clear front corners... Also, to repond to the quality of H4 housing, it is good because you can put more powerful bulbs in it (and yes the stock s13 housings are sealed and only have ONE hole for ONE bulb, which is WEAK). Right now I have I think 65 watt bulbs and they are really bright. I know people who have 105/130watt PIAAS, and I really dont wanna be the guy who has his rear view mirror pointed towards those...

kinda like "city lights" .......i used to have blue reverse lights and BLINK is right you can back up much faster with them! got rid of the cuz i couldn't see ****.....and i'd rather see that pole i'm backing into than have people look at my taillights saying "wow, those blue reverse lights look pretty cool, while that guy is backing into that pole." and if you ever have a cop sitting behind you you have to wait til he is gone before you can put your car in reverse.

Update: Since I wired the litle bulbs ot the side marker lights, they go on at the same time the parkign lights go on. Today I got out of the car and realized that even though the parking light switch was on, neither the front parking lights/sidemarkers were on, nor the back ones. Also when I turn on my normal headlights, my back lights don't work. How the F***K did that happen, if they worked right after I installed everything and they worked while I was getting home that same night. I think it's a fuse, but WHICH fuse, I couldn;t find a fuse for the parking/sidemarker lights. HELP! (Yes, I know thats one of the consequences of somewhat useless and ricey things). Still please, if anyoen knows what fuse it is, let me know.

Ah yes, so wonderful, yet odd: I went through every single fuse int he car, and the on that'd burned out was the...rear lighst fuse! How odd is that, that it would make my sidemarkers AND backlights go out. Well I replaced it with a 20watt insted of 25 (cuz I am drawing mroe current now witht he extra 2 bulbs) and it works fine. As soon as I get the clear corners from ebay (or pep boys, cuz they can order those form stanza SE) I'll post mroe pics. For now, no more ricyness from me, just the fact that I have two strut bars coming and a MAF adapter w/Air filter, for my custom intake (Home Depot better help me out).
