Blows hard!

Heard a noise yesterday, thought it came down from the passenger kick panel. I figured it was the blower. At 190k on her, with A/C running all the time, I think it's time. Even if all the blowers etc. on the dash is turned "OFF" and lights are off, blower is blowing full speed. Right now it's blowing 18 degree air on me. I feel like I'm driving my 90 prelude again. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you think I'm looking at a new blower motor down in the pass footwell? Brrrrrr

If the blower is going full tilt no matter what you have it set to on the controls, than it really looks to me like your blower motor is fine and it's the control unit that's acting up.

I know on the G50 there is a diagnostic mode you can put the HVAC unit into, can you do the same on the FGY33?

When that happened on mine it was the blower motor speed module. Amplifier-27761-85E01

its behind glove box, held in with two screws beside cabin filters. lol I thought mine went last winter so I picked one up outa pathfinder turns out it was the blower motor, I had no fan at all and misdiagnosed it. but now have extra fan amp for when it does break. there is a writeup on fixing amp but a used unit from junkyard is only about $20

My wife's sentra has blown that part twice, so the blower was either off or on high...your blower is still fine. Just replace that part, they are not even in the same area so no sense pulling a perfectly good blower out and replacing it with another good one.

Blower motors at the minimum need cleaning to not blow the next darlington bridge. See Skibane's excellent posts.
