ok tha story is, i was setting the timming on an 89 sohc 240. i did everything the manuel says to do to set it. but i was reving the engine to make sure it wasnt backfiring through the intake like it was before and the throttle got stuck about half way.......the timing light i have has timing and rpm on it and it said 5600rpm ...... so it was running hard. i have the altanator disconnected because it keep blowing the ignition fuse, no biggie, but when it was screeming like hell i unhooked the battery leads....... the motor was STILL RUNNING! so i opened the main fuse box and yanked the 75amp main fuse, still ran, the i yanked the ecu fuse and it died. now heres the weird part, a couple fuses inside got blown, namely the meter fuse and the room lamp fuse. as soon as i put a new fuse in it pops them. this all happen tonight so i havent had much time to dianose but does anybody have any idea why these two fuses keep blowing, esspecially the room lamp fuse, becouse it has nothing to do with the motor or anything under the hood. anyhow sorry about the long wrightup but i wanted to include everything.
