I've posted this on another forum but not much of you guys are over there so here ya go:

So coming home last night from my parents house at 1:00 in the morning while cruising on the interstate going about 65 mph I hit something on the road that caught my tire, which caught my front bumper (pulling it halfway off), shot back & ripped out part of my fender well, ripped off my fender flare & then shot up & away from my wheel well & caught my passenger side-view mirror & completely destroyed it! I pulled over & got out to servey the damage & realized that my tire was shredded but not yet flat & considering I had taken out my spare tire the day before (because I wanted to lighten the load) & I was only about 30 miles from home I decided to get off the interstate & to go a bit further. Well it finally blewout completely, with me ,my wife & our 2 dogs in the car (a Beagle/Terrier mutt & my Pitbull), so I called a good friend off mine, who by chance happened to be about 3 miles away at a booty call, gladly came up to pick the wife up to run to our place & pick up the spare tire, to bring back to me. Heres some picks that I took today about noon. BTW we didn't get home until 3:30 in the morn'

Oh & a fun little side story: While Chad (my friend who helped out) & my wife were off getting my spare, I was bent over with my Pathy jacked up & trying to remove the busted tire when Precious (my Pitbull) started barking uncontrollably (I had the windows rolled down so the dogs could stick their heads out & look around) I looked over my shoulder & a black kid was coming up behind me pretty quickly, cutting through a yard sneaking up behind me, with a hand under his shirt in the front. Well what he didn't know was that ealier that day I had been at the gun range & in light of the situation I had decided to put my Glock 30 (.45 ACP) back on my side while I was working in a not-so-well lit area in a not-so-nice neighborhood at 2:00 in the mornin'. So I stood up pretty quickly & pulled it from the hoslter. I didn't draw it up to shoot but it was beside me (one in the chamber already). He saw me do this & being only about 10 or so feet away turned away in the opposite direction he had come from & walked away, staring me down.

Needless to say the same sh*tty early 80's four door light blue Chevy Caprice with uglyass chrome rims on it cruised by 4 times in about 30 mintues after that. I guess they thought that since I had my flashers on that I was stranded & I would be an easy target to try & rob but I had with me my Glock 30 (.45ACP) with 2 11rd clips with Golddot hollow points, my Glock 23 (.40) with 2 13rd clips & a 29rd clip all with Golddot hollow points & my Mossberg 500 pistol gripped shotgun, with an 18.5" barrel & (15) 00 Buckshot shells. If the 4 of them wanted trouble then they had found it!My little hero!...

Update:So went back out to the interstate & found my beat up fender flare on the side of the road (it looks like has been run over a couple of dozen times) & saw what I think I ran over. It was black/dark grey metal gutters that probably fell off of some contractor's truck.

Also I am getting 4 new tires today (I hadn't planned on doing this until the end of Sept. but hey what can ya do). I'm going with the BFG Mud Terrains again, I really liked how they held up & how well they worked off road.

As for the wear of the Pro Comp; it was actually newer than the BFG's that were on the vehicle & the smooth part you see is were the tread was ripped off & were I had to drive for a bit on it like that for a while!... just sh!tty tires I guess . My front end is all out of allignment as well now, so one more thing to get fixed.

WTF? Man, what part of NC do you live in ? I've got to keep that in mind next time I visit my parents out there. That's crazy ****!

Now I see why you own so many guns...

That's pretty crazy, good thing you're ok though. I made a post in the frontier picture section to show what happened to my boss's new truck. But here it is.

It was a pretty exciting ride as well. NOT

Nothin better then a pistol gripped shotgun, thats for damn sure....

And what would of happen, if you had none of this on you???

Glad everything worked in your favor. I believe things happen for a reason.

I would of killed the kid, fixed my tire, and left.
