Turbo came out of sr20 to put in my 240. I was checking the turbo when it started spewing oil out of the comp. outlet when i set the turbo on its side.

Took off comp. housing and saw This!

Dam! Oil all over around the wheel and collected into the housing cant tell if its coming out through the comp wheel. Idk if there was oil spilling out like that before i set it down for a while or what.

But there was no shaft play, the shaft spins smoothly and there is no oil out on the exhaust side although there was oil in the intake pipe not fresh tho.

Could this be blown seal or crazy blow by and trapped oil from not draining it?

Ive seen blow by like that before but i'm not too sure. It is possible if the engine had some blow by going on and they never cleaned it for 60k+ miles. Not too sure though, i don't know too much about blown turbo seals.

If your intake has oil in it too then its most likely Blow by. This happened to my t25 also. Just wipe all the sluge and check in a few weeks to see if its there again or not.
