blown turbo? right?

so my t25 started getting real loud and after looking at my turbo outlet i realized i was missing 2 bolts and i had i nice exhaust leak. so i dropped my exhaust and got all the bolts in the turbo. after i took it for a test drive and it still sounds like a have a huge exhaust leak or a bad turbo. my hks wastegate is set to 10psi and i can only hit 6. time for a t28??

have you checked for a leak on the turbo manifold? check for a gap between the mani and the turbo. Its really hard to see if there is a gab if your running the stock manifold. I would just try and tighten EVERY nut and bolt on your exhaust. If the sound doesnt go away then I would say turbo.

a few days ago a found im missing a chunk of gasket between manifold and turbo. got a new gasket today

Yeah man same thing is about to happen to mines. My turbo spools loud but it doesnt go anywhere. it lags then it pulls, but when I am at gettin on it the exhaust blows out black smoke and it smells like pizza . I might have to go t28 too.

well i put in a oem nissan gasket and i still cant hit full boost and it still sounds the same

Have you checked to see if you're getting a lot of shaft play? If it's making some grinding noises or sounds like a siren when your turbo is spooling, then yes, it's probably done with. Be glad it's happening to your T25. I had my HKS GT2530 go on me.

Why do you want to upgrade to a T28? Why not go GT2871R?

check for shaft play and oil in the intercooler system...

any more than minimal shaft movement means bad turbo

i had a problem with my waste gate as my only boosting to 8 when my controller was set to 14. lucky i had an extra turbo sitting around and ganked it. just one easily over looked lower boost probem

i fixed the leak. i blew out a coupler from my ic piping to my throttle body. i hit 9psi. (my wg is set to 10psi) but i think i have a leak in my boost gauge hose, and its a pos faze gauge. it sits below 0 when the car is off. so im ordering a new gauge and i should be all set

my turbo is making this damn sound like its a cop car. what do i do. it still boosts but not past 7psi. i have an HKS wastegate adj. and i just replaced all the studs and washers between the manifold and the turbo and i also replaced the gaskets (turbo elbow and turbo to manifold). my motor also randomly will make a fast tapping sound and then completely disappear.
