I'll make this really short. I hit a curb at about 20 and blew out both drivers side tires. When I went to start the car and drive it home after getting new tires, it wouldn't start. The motor will crank, but it doesn't sound like it's getting any fuel. I haven't had much time to look at the car due to leaving town. I'll be back on Thur. and will check the fuel pump connections. That's my best guess. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 91 240SX.

OK, I read the sticky so here's the info on my beast. 91 240SX, 155k on the odometer, one bad motor mount, there was a quarter tank of gas in it and it was a little low on oil at the time of the accident. fluid levels might effect this cause the car did bounce up on the drivers side.

Some cars have a trigger switch for the fuel pump incase you hit something it will shut the car off so as not to cause a fire or something. I dont know if 240's have this but it wouldnt hurt to check. The switch is usually in the trunk somewhere.

I know what you're talking about and I'll look on thur when I get home. A guy on another board told me that 240's don't have these, but I'll check anyway. Under the carpet on the passenger side there is what appears to be a line or set of wires that look like they might go to the fuel pump. They're covered with a plate, which is bolted down, that has an arrow pointing to the front of the car on it. I'm gonna check this and I'll post what's up later. Really, I think I just knocked some sensor or some of the pump connections loose. At least I hope that's what it is, cause I just aquired a head with nismo cams for that thing.

Sounds like your on the right track. I'd check for a loose connection and make sure I had battery voltage to the pump. You may have just blown the fuel pump fuse from the impact or damaged the fuel pump relay. Under some conditions we have seen the pump get knocked loose in the fuel tank from collisions.
