blown spark plug tube seal

i chnaged my spark plug tube seals 16 months ago and the same 2 that was blown before is blown again will i have to change the seal every year or is it something else.

you are referring to the inner gasket that is completely inside the valve cover?use genuine OEM 13271-1e400 only.replace the outer 13270-1e411 at the same time.

no sealant on the inner.pay strict attention to where to put the grey RTV on the outer gasket.make sure you have all 11 metal/rubber washers. replace any mashed/torn rubber, they are about $3.50 each from a sponsor.torque evenly to 96 inch-lbf.
