blown shock. replacement?

I need to replace a blown shock. i will do both fronts at once. the dealer discovered it. they showed me grease on the boot and said it needed replacing. can anyone offer any insight?

if i do need to replace, i may get a used OEM one from a coilover swap. anyone have them available? also, when i install, other than the shock do i need anything else? the service advisor mentioned bearings and other misc things.

KYB is the only after market shock option other than OEM. I agree to replace them as a set. You shouldn't need anything else but an alignment afterwards.

Would OEM shocks from an 08 g37S coupe bolt up?

I would think the 37 would be different, but not positive on that. I have my old ones, but I'm assuming they wouldn't work for you either.
