i have a blown head gasket on a 77 620 l20b engine. i just need to know the torque for the new gasket or better yet if anyone has any links to a walk through video. i feel like im going to stump myself when i get to the timing chain. wish me luck just waiting on that damn special order.

check out http://www.olddatsuns.com/ you should be able to download the service manual for it. that would give you the specs you need. i

Start with the middle two bolts.then the two behind the middle.Then the two in front of the middle.Then the back two.then the front two.

I torque to 70 foot lbs. but I think the book say like 40-60.

You need to do it in 4 steps.

So 1st torque is to 15lbs2nd to 30lbs3rd to 504th to final torque.

Make sure the washers are on all head bolts.

You should also re torque about once a year. Use oil or some type of lube on the bolts too.
