very odd...here's the story: I was racing a prelude with my 240...smoked em...literally... a cloud of white smoke trailed behind me and filled the cabin...the engine stalls and i park the car to the side...

temp gauge is off the meter...i opened the hood...coolant sprays from the RESERVOIR...the coolant inside the reservoir what I assumed was BOILING or it may have just been pressure...

I check the spark plugs...number four is lightly coated with oil...which explains my slightly rough idle....

I checked the oil...its clean!...doesn't look like chocolate milk...

Any Ideas...leaky valve sea for sure...blown head gasket?

Check your compression then we can narrow it down. What was the mix of water/antifreeze?Does it start up?Did you drive home? What color was the smoke?

i think he said white smoke in his post florida:).

that definetly sounds like coolant burning, but oil in your plugs.....thats another thing.

do a compression or leak down test.

For some reason I thought I read it was at night so I was wanting him to make sure what color.

definitely white smoke...same white smoke that i had a problem with before when oil was going in my intake from the turbo....this time...oil was also found in the hot pipe ic piping....what really confuses me is the coolant reservoir....it just squirted coolant to the overfill thing

Check your plugs while you're at it... and any electrical that may have gotten seriously wet.

yes you can comp test it.

put comp tester in spark plug`s place, have someone crank car while holding down gas to WOT.

ACtual compression PSI won't be very accurate, but large differences will tell you where the problem is. Leak-down will show a blown head gasket much better becasue you can listen for air leaking.

Most likely... white smoke = burning coolant, and #4 cylinder is dead - it's the most likely out of the 4 that goes...
