so i get CEL code p0301. i change the spark plugs. the car, when put in gear, shutters and white smoke pours out the muffler at all times, however, the temps stay mid level like they're supposed to. the smoke smells like raw gas also.

someone please tell me what is going on or if there's any more info i need to post to get the correct diagnosis..... other than a new engine lol hopefully that isn't necessary.

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me... The white smoke is a definite indicator... The reason it's sputtering is it's lost it's compression in at least 1 of the cylinders.

That is wierd its not overheating if blown head gasket.Check for oil in the antifreeze and antifreeze in the oil.
P0301 is a engine misfire-too general to pin down directly
That raw gas could ruin your catalytic converter
Do a compression test and a cylinder leak down test to confirm if blown head gasket
The PSI for the cylinders is in the Floor shop manual

Check the EGR valve and see if its stuck. Other problems might be the idle air control
valve. A bad MAF sensor might produce the same results.
