Blown head gasket in 2010 maxima with no history of over heating or obvious leak or milky oil. Found on maintenance visi

blown head gasket on 2010 Maxima found at maintenance visit. No history of overheating white smoke or antifreeze smell. Seems to be running ok. Research shows 09-10 models have thinner gasket prone to blowing early. Anybody else have this problem? I am less on miles but over by 4 months on warranty and dealership won't fix but told me to call Nissan to see if they will cover it. Any suggestions for persuading Nissan that they should cover?
