I blew several fuses when the lights were turned on. The radio and alarm fuses were replaced and did not blow again.

The fuse that is on the circuit to open the headlights blew imediately when replaced. When replacing the fuse the headlight motors would open or close just before it would blow. That circuit contains the headlight motors, dashlights, and taillights.

What could be causing the fuse to blow?

My tail lights do not work when the lights are on. The brake lights work and the blinkers. I think it is associated with my headlight motors. When I put a new fuse in it blows but the headlights open up or close.

The fuse that blows is the fourth down (15 amp) from the top on the left side as you look at the fuse box on the drivers side floor.

Ummm... a broken ground will make no power get through. He's blowing fuses, so he has a short. A short will cause a fuse to blow every time. Fix the short and you'll fix the blown fuse problem. Fix the blown fuse problem and your headlights will pop up and the running lights will work. It isn't rocket science. It's more like putting butter on toast.

a broken ground can cause a lead to try to groudn through a power lead which works till that other circuit is turned on, happens a lot in tail lights for some reason

Last time I had something like this it was a bad bulb in my tail lights. I'll let you know when I find it.

One mechanic said it might be my headlight motor relay. He had that happen once before.
