I had my fuel filter replaced today, and the mechanic who did it forgot to reconnect the MAF harness. Of course, when he saw the CEL, he reconnected it...but I don't know if the engine was running at the time or not.

Anyway, after reconnecting it, the CEL stayed on. He tried to "reset" it by disconnecting the battery, but it stayed on.

I'll check what code it throws tomorrow, but I thought that one of you could tell me what is causing the following problems:

First of all, the light to the clock is off. Next, the anti-theft is not working, also. The multi-remote does not work nor does the Home Link. And, every time I turn the car off and back on, the trip odometers have been reset.

Well, the first thing I did was check the fuse box in the cabin, but I did not know which fuse to pull because my manual did not make it clear which one it is and the labelling did not help.

That is, until someone on another forum said check the fuse marked "electronics" in the cabin fuse box.

There are no fuses with that label, BUT, there are three 7.5A fuses marked, "ELEC PARTS," in the cabin box, but only one of the three is highlighted in white, and it just so happens to be located in the upper right quadrant of the cabin fuse box, and isolated from the other fuses.

(Which made me wonder, in retrospect, why the Service Manual did not point that one out?)

Of course, did I try that one first? Nope. I thought I'd look at the other two first, and they were fine. When I pulled the upper right one, I could see that it was clearly blown.

I replaced it with the spare in the box and all is well (I hope).

The CEL is still on, but it will probably throw a MAF harness code if I were to check. I'll disconnect the battery for awhile and see if that will clear it.

If not, I'll take it over to AutoZone around the corner from me.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as it turned out, it was one of the little ones in the cabin fuse box.

Read my update above.
