Hey Guys,,

So i was switching out my stock bulbs to led and silly me did this while the car lgihts were on...I took both bulbs out then proceeded to put the first led bulb in. Upon doing so, the led I was putting in, along with my clearance light strip bulb went out too....i got in the car and noticed all the lights on the middle console where the stereo and heater/ac is were out aswell but the radio still worked fine. I opened the glove box to find that the light in there was out too...the license plate light is out too..anyways can anyone help me out with this problem? Ive checked all the fuses except for the big ones under the hood, and they all seem fine...is the fuse that is responsible for these lights that ive mentioned one of the big fuses ie 30a, 40a, 50a?? any help would be great, thanks guys.

I did the same thing relamping the seat control bulbs with a metal screwdriver with the lights on (dumb). The fuses can be decieving to the human eye and breaks are hard to see. On my 94 it was the ILL (illumination) fuse burned and affecting the same lamps as you. I had to look at it with a magnifying glass to see the break. On the 90-93 it's called the Room Lamp fuse but in either case you'll find it in the engine compartment fuse box.

Check this fuse and all the lighting fuses in both fuse boxes again with a magnifying glass or voltmeter or replace with known new fuses. If you own a 97+ I suspect the layout and labeling will be similar.

rhe fuse you are loking for is behind the battery in the intelligent power distribution module. 10A fuse #71. looks like the first one on the top, on the left side.
