So, I blew a bearing yesterday.. crap, I just dont know which part its called, i already tore apart everything inside.

The bearing is not in the crankshaft , its the one slightly above and to the right of it, the pulley that connects the alternator belt and the fan together.

Not sure which one this is, or how easy it is to reinstall the bearing/part. Might not even be worth while and I'll have to sell/scrap the Z. So sad.

Please help!

I think I may have found the answer, is it the water pump bearing?

Check the water pump for play where the pulley bolts to it. You shouldn't be able to wiggle up-down/side-side it in any direction -- the only movement you should be able to do it rotation. If you can wobble it around, then you probably have a bad water pump.

Should have listened to it with a screwdriver or pry bar before you tore it down.

It's def the water pump, wiggles and bearing sounds done-dizzled. I had it done at meineke, thank god for warranty (sarcasm), they cover parts (woot 60 dollar part), but not labor, 200 bucks for the labor or something. Also snapped my alternator belt. If they'll agree to do it for 120-150 including belt ill prob be ok with that. Although I don't think I should be paying any labor for a part they recommended and installed less than a year ago.

I'd say climb the corporate ladder and have them pay for and install a OEM pump. If their warranty states they don't cover labor that's messed up but that's the policy and it's hard to get around that. If you keep cool and talk to them, you might be able to get them to buy a Nissan pump for you. Aftermarket pumps HATE this car. I don't know why. Mine lasted 5,000 miles and it's probably the same kind they put on - a cheap aftermarket one.

If they won't budge and get you the Nissan pump, I'd strongly suggest shelling out a few more Jacksons for the real deal. Make sure they don't overtighten the belt too, that's a great way to kill a new water pump.
