Just thought I'd ask if anyone needs any engine components from my blown Q engine. The block and three pistons are shot but everything else is in great shape. The water pump has less than 2 years on it and Bosch +4 plugs with about 6 months on them. Everything else is stock original.

E-mail me if anyone wants anything from it...plenum, crank sensors, injectors, coils, or anything else....

You should look into donating this car to charity. My dad's 92' just bought the farm and he's getting like a $5,500 deduction on his taxes. You can carry that over for like 3 years too.

Just an alternative.

The car lives with a new engine, so this is just what didn't go blooey.

About 130K...Cylinders #4 and #3 were completely destroyed while #6 was heavily damaged.

Yep, I have all records from the dealer since she was born...chain guides were done along with several other items...main seal, injectors, oil every 3K, etc...

Interesting you mention the above maintenance to the engine "since it was born",but in your original message you quote a T3 take out engine was installed at some point in time. How many miles were put on this "takeout" engine, and were the guides done at time of installing the takeout engine? What caused this failure of your SECOND engine?

The failure occurred with the (first) original engine. The repalcement (second) engine is fine to date, as far as we know.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

Correct - Robert's basically asking if anyone wants anything off his well-maintained (but dead nonetheless) first engine.
