As stated before, MANY people have been running with the blow thru setup for a long time.

The only difference is that they use the stock housing. And I can't see how that would make anny problems.

there is a beast of a ca18(hypergear?) on ns.com blowing thru a Z32 mafs.I can't remember if it was him that I read of recently that split the sensor from boost tho.

AFM hacking is an ooolllld trick (even on nissans), but very effective.http://www.ka24development.com/hacked_MAF.html

Like everything else, the success of results directly proportional to the tweakers understanding of what he is doing!I have a link here to a guy that turbocharged his stock toyota tacoma 3.4L V6 5 speed truck with an old cheap T04B turbo;hacked the stock mafs + SAFC + 440 supra injs & fmic... all on stock motor & ecu!dynod a strong 440+ ft-lbs tq to the tires @17psi and waxed everything that tried to test it

I used to blow through a flapper door MAF back in the day, it worked fine. That was a much more rugged form of MAF though, no delicate hot witre and made of aluminum. Plastic tube with a fragile platinum wire, um no.

I dont like the idea of blowing through a maf in a turbo car because of oil issues. Especially if the cars valve cover vents to inlet per factory, but even without a catch, look how oily intercoolers get.

on another different but similar note, CRC maf cleaner FTW, says right on the can add 10 whp instantly.... it is no joke! If you clean a MAF with this stuff thats being drawn through and you feel a difference, (which you will) Id like to see someone clean their blow through setup with it and report back!

The wire is supposed to be self-cleaning. When you turn on the ignition it superheats to burn off contaminants. The oil present in almost everybody's IC pipes is one of three reasons I don't advocate this method.
