blowing smoke

i tried searching this and nothing came up..

last night i was driving home and some tiburon was following me so at a stop light i take off just for fun while he tried to keep up as i look behind me i see and unusual amount of exhaust/smoke in his headlights....i didnt push her that hard but it was def not your normal stroll on the town....is she just clearing out her pipes or is this something i should look into?

what color was the smoke?

when a car runs really lean sometimes their can be an abundance of white smoke out the tailpipe.. i'm thinking that may be it b/c you just put on your pop intake.. are you running stock injectors?

its all stock but the pop....when i took off the old filters it had been awhile since they had been changed...like years....so the first night after i installed the pop the car didnt react at all to it as if it didnt know how to breathe or something...the next morning i definately felt a difference...now the smoke...i couldnt really tell the color cuz it was late and you know how clear the rear view mirror is..injectors are stock as far as i know....

Have somebody follow behind you and see what color the smoke is and then we should be able to narrow down what it is.

so of course i went and tested it today...no smoke...wierd

I wouldn't sweat it then. If it become a consistent issue, then look into it.

Not like it will stay stock forever anyway. I know you'll eventually go bigger and better on motor parts at some point

so true! im thinking ill look into this feul line and filter see how long its been for those....maybe a day trip upto cleveland today well see

dark smoke would probably be easier to notice which means you are probably burning oil.. also go by the tail pipe and smell it.. if its white and smells kind of sweet, you may be burning coolant

but yeah if it is not a consisten thing, than i wouldn't worry about it too much
