it all started out when i blew the 25 amp eng cont fuse, on my 93 240 sx. stock eng. this fuse kills the car, no spark. local mech put in a new distributor, no fix. another local mech said it was the computer. it started draining the battery while parked right before i took it to the mech who said it was the computer. i bought a used computer from a junkyard, this fixed the battery draw problem, and the car ran good for approximatly 2 wks. im leaving work and it blows the same 25 amp eng cont fuse again. i replace the fuse drive the car 20 mi back to the mech. all he finds is loose injector wire. i go to my car and it wont even start. i dont even go back in, i just jump it off and drive it home. i turn the car off, loosen the neg batt clamp, remove it from the batt, touch it again and it sparks one time, touch it again no spark and no draw. i would have to guess if i drove it long enough, the fuse would blow again. do you think i have somethin junkin out my computer, because when it first started blowin the fuse it wasant draining the battery while sitting. now another computer later and its doin the same. ive spent a lot of hrs on this site, along with a lot of money, i would greatly appreciate any assistance.

You may have a whole mess of problems .

The eng cont fuse may be linked to a short somewhere in your engine harness.

Search on this forum, as there have been a few ppl w/ this problem.

Search for:

"eng cont fuse"

&

"engine control fuse"

in both recent & archived, should give you a good starting point.

Here's one of the results: zerothread?id=12633

The first step is to measure the current draw and report. Could be a bad alternator not shutting off field winding or a real short.
