My car blows black smoke and driving from san antonio to Houston uses 1 and a 1/4 tanks of gas(170mi) I only blow black smoke when driftin, (93 240sx vert).it also has oil leaking out the top of the valve cover through the screws it looks like. Any advice would be kool, thanx.

oh yeah, somebody already suggested that after a tune up, to change the temperature sensor....where would i find that?

replace the valve cover gaskets. for the smoke, your running rich. start by checking the MAF, temp sensor (available at your local nissan dealer, its called a "coolant temperature sensor"), o2 sensor.

check around your thermo housing. You'll see two plugs there, the one with two prongs is gonna be your coolant temp sensor.
