I was driving home from work yesterday and noticed that the blower on the A/C wasn't working. I turned the knob to several settings and it didn't respond. After I got home I climbed under the dash to check the fuses, I was going to go get the service manual when I decided to try it again. I turned the ignition switch on and the fan came on and ran fine. I have it scheduled the car with the dealer to check this out and a problem with the automatic window too. Has anyone had this problem with the blower?

Hi there IdaCrue,

Sorry for the delay in answering your post, but I take the lack of responses and a lot of "No" answers. I have not had this issue or heard of anyone on this forum that has. Since the fan came back to life later on, it seems this is an electrical problem rather than a physical failure of the blower fan.

Please post back after you return from the dealer so we all have some reference if and when this occurs in the future. Thanks a lot and good luck!

Took it to the dealer yesterday. The problem with the blower could not be duplicated so nothing there. He told me that the window problem was fixed by a reset. I guess the switch sends a binary signal to a computer of some sorts and it shifts the window into the automatic up mode. The window is working fine now, and at least I have the blower problem documented.

AUTO UP/DOWN POWER WINDOW INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE (From Nissan):

1. Turn the Ignition switch ON.
2. Open the window-all the way DOWN.
3. Pull all the way UP on the switch and hold (close the window). Continue holding the switch all the way UP for 4 seconds after the window is closed.
4. Confirm the window is now operating correctly.
