Hi all,

On the 2007 Versa

My blower motor switch only has max blower speed with the intermediate selection not working.

I called Nissan parts in my town and was quoted $220 for the switch assembly or $150 for the resistor. The parts man told me it could be either item gone bad. I am not sure which is bad but thought I'd ask here first.

Has anyone had the same problem?
What did you do to correct it?
How difficult is it to change out either part?
Is there a step-by-step set of instruction in replacing either part?

Thanks in advance for reading and replying.

Haven't seen any problems with blower resistors or switches with the versa's but I have done some resistors on xterras and frontiers. Thats usually the problem.. if you take the resistor out you might see a bubble in them. Not hard to change it should be on the blower motor..

I dont think that it running at full speed will hurt anything, is it running all the time?

I have the same problem but mine is due to mice getting into the air intake to the a/c. On 4 it makes a horrible grinding and vibrating sound so I've just been going with out. I believe there's a resistor module somewhere under the center console. I have to fix this soon so if I dig up anything I'll let you know.
