The resistor stopped working so I can't regulate A/C speed anymore. Dealer wants 471.71 including labor. Are they ripping me off?

Mine was $82 without wholesale discount. Read here. Are you attempting to purchase the blower motor resistor (for manual-knob controls) or the fan amplifier (for auto controls)? Either way, it should not be $472 and the labor for either job is 10 minutes that you can do yourself.

I need it for the fan amplifier. Is it really something that's simple enough to do by myself?
On the estimate the part number is NI27030-6W00A

The fan amplifier is $120 on Courtesy Parts. You can try asking a local Nissan dealer (I assume you went to an Infiniti dealer - maybe their prices are different for some reason), or just ordering from Courtesy Parts. The labor is indeed that simple - remove the glove box, disconnect the wiring harness, unscrew two screws, and installation is reverse of disassembly - there's a how-to with pictures here. Maybe change out the in-cabin microfilter while you have the glove box removed, and if you're up to it clean your blower motor as it's bound to be dusty.
