Blower motor relay

1990 240 SX question

Is the blower motor relay the same one as the A/C relay? The relay panel under the hood on the PS doesn't show it, and as much as the manual indicates a Blower Motor Relay, it doesn't say where it is.
Also, is the blower motor resistor at the blower motor like many cars have it?

The s14 has it with the blower motor, behind the glove box!

You are saying the blower motor and resistor are behind the glove box, but what about the relay itself?

I think we are talking about the same thing! if your speed is only on at 4 then its whatever the name of the thing is that with the motor behind the glove box i think its called a resistor.

how dose "1990 240sx question" suggest a s14?

fsm has locations of electrical components.
all cars have seperate a/c and blower motor relays, a/c relay is in the dr side fender relay box. dont know the other one, but the fsm will have it, had to look it up a while ago

CORRECT....this is an S13, not S14.

Anyway, after some dis-assembly, the blower motor resistor is located on the side of the blower box assembly just above the blower motor. Remove the glove box to get to it. The blower motor relay is located behind the HAVC control in the dash, just behind and left of it. To remove the blower motor requires more dash assembly, or die grind a small notch in the side of the blower motor mounting plate and/or the right glove box mount bracket, which won't hurt anything and save a lot of work.

...just in case anyone else has similar issues.
