Blower Motor in J30

Question:I have a J30 and During these recent cold months, when I start up the car, and turn the blower on 'high', a loud whine comes from the passenger side foot area, where the blower motor, I would think, would be located. If I turn the heat/AC unit 'off', then turn it back on at a lower level, the whine does not exist.

How hard is it to replace the blower motor??Has anybody ever done this??Any idea of how much a new motor is?? Is it ONLY a dealer accessible part??

Motor bearing might be dying on you. You might have to listen closer under the dash to confirm.

i'd call joe at scottsdale and replace it yourself.
