does any one know how to remove the blower motor? My climate controls work, I hear clicks but no air hot or cold. I removed the glove box completely, if I squeze the hosing on the motor my air turns on; but if I shut of the car I have to repeat the process when I start up again.

If you want to repair the blower motor see this: zerothread?id=262029

This shows you how to remove the blower motor and cooling unit:zerothread?id=195799

Best find new or a used working one that does'nt whine because these are easily replaced.

News Update: Since On one could tell me what blower motor I needed, It turned out to be one with A/C. Thanks to paul wall for the thread. I did clean my old one and it held me down till the new one came in.

Side note: My rear passenger widow was smashed, I thought i was the extreme cold. So no back window then the blower motor went out when I was scheduled for work outta town of course. Got widow fixed a week later. Still bad blower motor. Blower motor came in, planned to install next day....front passenger window goes (Extreme cold) naah homie.................................(Extremely long pause).........................(Wait for it)........................................(Sigh)............................................ .......because My touch screen/navi/Cd changer/dvd/tv/MP3/Sd/usb/bluetooth/rear cam/radio intergallactic mobile informative entertainment thingamajig whatumacallit gizmotron took of with window, because apparently they were unhappy in my 93 infiniti Q45 and emancipated themselves to find a more suitable home..piece of crap factory alarm did who knows what.

so I invested in a 2way alarm/remote start python 990 for a newly liquidated circuit city for $260...sweet!! Let the hunt begin.

Why it is b est to just keep everything stock, to keep the thugs moving on to another target- especially if you park in the Hood.

Well...don't listen to radio much, I don't own any cassette tapes, I own an Ipod and i'm into the whole cd,tv, dvd revolution...so it made sense for me to change my old radio; plus the factory alarm apparently saw no reason to be alarmed while I was getting robbed. Nice orange light though.

Never thought it was wise to watch TV or a DVD while driving, thats what one does in ones house. Factory headunit has inputs for trunk mounted CD changer.....out of view from crooks eyes, unlike aftermarket blinking garbage most install in their dash.

Ipod is a step backwards from CD- maybe suitable to use while operating a gas powered lawnmower to help drown out the noise?

Ipod is a step Backward?!? Yeah I did find a cd canger that held 15,000 ablums but it couldn't fit in my trunk. My ipod holds more ablums than any DJ or Record store I know not only that I don't have to go to my truck to change it. when Im done in the car I could take that 15,000 albums without breaking a sweat.

Come to think of it, The only person who came close to that many cd's in their trunk was Master P, but he owns several ipods now. Came To his senses...soon u will too.

I guess if your reference is a portable boom box ghetto blaster, the Ipod may be acceptable alternative?

Quanity and/or convenience over quality is never an acceptable tradeoff to the serious music lover.

15,000 albums of compressed digitized mp3 level noise is not music if your ears and brain are attached and functioning as designed.

I really enjoyed having a DVD player in the Navigator. It was rear-mounted, but I could control it from the front. I used it to listen to concert DVDs.

MP3 players are a godsend on road trips, now that satellite radio quality has declined dramatically.

CD cases are as much a theft target as anything else.

A 10 disc changer in trunk is out of site, and can provide enough music for a 10 hour roadtrip....get a second cartridge loaded and you have enough for cross country jaunt.....no need for cd cases lying around car interior. Not inconvenient to swap cartridges during fuel stops on a roadtrip.

Or install your non matching disco blinking/flashing headunit and live with the constant fear of breakins, or actual breakin....seems like a no-brainer choice to me?

The Ipod is one of the worst players for sound quality in the portable market. I completely agree with qship because you cannot substitute mp3's for cd's or cd's for LP's. Why would anyone need that much music is beyond me, and to trust an online retailers for competent rips of music is another bad move. I cant stand listening to mp3's, even 320kbps in any situation, but the masses will accept 128kbps.

95% of the time I am listening to live recordings which require that extra dimension to appreciate and enjoy thoroughly on either cd or properly ripped .wav files.
