I am considering running a blow through set up with the z32, and installing the BOV on the hotpipe, its supposed to help the stalling/problems with putting the maf before the turbo, with a vented BOV.

Anyone ever seen this before? on a ca......?

I was considering doing it for awhile but decided against it because from what I hear, alot of people have problems with their mafs repeatedly going bad when they run boost through them. It seems to work fine on pretty much everyones setup as long as you don't put the maf right next to a curve or somthing where the air is too turbulent for it to read accuratley. I ended up just going with an hks eids and it works great. I didn't really want to have to buy a new maf every few months.

i was digging it for awhile, did a bunch of research, and found out i was better off not doing it

theres alot of requirements to make it work

at least a foot from the TBon a straight part of plumbingafter the intercooler

if you redo your intercooler piping to accomidate it, then it might be possible. but for me, since im not using a ca ECU, its more beneficial for me to switch to a MAPs, and not have to worry about it anymore

Same here. I was strongly considering a blow thru setup. I mean, vented bov, if a pipe blows off the car is still driveable. What's not to like, until I read numerous accounts of mafs going bad due to some mafs not being made to handle boost. You also have to remember to seal parts of the maf or else it'll start to leak.

right, there is plastic weld for that, as well as someone said the diode not handling upwards of 20+ pounds of boost, but if I run 10-15 it shouldnt be as much of a problem.

Another statement is you can get by fine with 8-10 inches from the throttle body, that should place it on a straight piece of pipe near where the battery is(was) located. Im gonna try it when I go front mount, the Ic is in my room right now.....
