Blow off valve?

Hey

Anyone know the name of those BOV's that make that kind of circulating chattering sound? Like Pfft pfft pfft pfft shhh? Lol prob the worst description ever but best i can do on a keyboard!

I think i've heard them being called chattering wastegates before but can't be sure!

Any help much appreciated guys!

You may be hearing no BOV at all. I went looking for the rattlesnake BOV as I dubbed it when I first heard the rapid-fire sound but what it was was the turbo backpedaling because the car had no BOV to release the pressure. The BOV I have now is really stiff and on lazy acceleration I get the chop-chop-chop on the shifts because it doesn't open.
