All excited when I got home from work to see the package on my porch, opened it up, assembled it onto the hotpipe and went out into the frozen tundra to install it......

Well, 2 things.....

I HATE C-CLIPS WITH A FREAKIN PASSION! They have got to be the worst invention since VTEC. They are damn near impossible to put on. But I finally got it on, after scratching the crap out of the underside of my new HKS SSQV. Screw it, it's on the under side and no one will see it.

The enjuku hotpipe is larger than my GReddy hotpipe, so naturally, the freakin couplers are too small too. I wrestled with those damn things for an hour and just gave up. I am never going to get a 2.25 inch pipe into a 2 inch hole, its impossible.

So after 4 weeks of waiting for my BOV to finally come, I now have to wait about another week for the correct size silicon couplers to come in....

:ak47 Small hotpipe couplers

venting over.

Joe

y not just take the 8 allen heads out the front, remove the pretty shell, and have more room for snap ring plyers? oh, right, the easy way :rolleyes Using anything other than a good set of snapring plyers makes it a pain, and i would strongly advise against using anything else. I've delt with that snap ring myself, and to tell you the truth, i was scared, even using snap ring plyers, gloves, and safety glasses. then again, i find those compressable hose clamps scary as hell too.

Wheel bearing grease is pretty amazing, as is silicon spray when it comes to putting hoses on.

But rest well in knowing that when I go to install mine, I'll think of you, laugh hysterically, and then take my cover off. Thanks Joe!
