1983 1/2 nissan 720 4x4 KC 140K on the 2.4 carburatored engine the head gasket blew 500 miles ago i had a reworked head installed with a head save shim. engine seems to run fine alittle lifter tic but now i noticed oil in the air cleaner. I replaced the PCV valve still had the same problem. i am getting blowby and i don't know why? If the rings aren't sealing anymore from the reworked head would'nt it smoke alot of Blue? i t cost over a grand to have the head reworked so if the engine is headed south what are my options?

Do you have too much oil in it?

Not necessarily. A lot of nissans for some reason do not smoke when there is blow by and the oil comes through the exhaust. Do a compression test.

I would take it back to where you had the work done and have them check the rings. On my Falcon the engine didn't start smoking until the problem got pretty bad.
