tried to search but cant find my answer. i seen treads for dohc heads on sohc blocks,but my question is in reverse. i spun a rod bearing in my sohc,and i have a dohc that need rings. so are the blocks the same because if they are i'll rebuild the bottom end and switch heads. i just like this one to stay sohc

if im not mistaken, the answer is yes but the pistons are lower compression in the dohc.....

ka24e from more research 9.1:1 @ 150hp for early 89. after feb.89 8.6:1 @ 140hp 152 lb. ft.ka24de 9.0:1 @ 155hp 91-93 9.5:1 @ 155hp 94-98 160 lb. ft.

correct me if i'm wrong
