what is the going rate to have an sr block honed?

Depends on the shop. But my machinist qouted me around $325 for a align hone, balancing the rotating assembly, and deglazing(honing) the cylinders. Roughly $125 for align hone, $125 for balancing, $75 for deglazing with ball hone. Go to a shop and ask
