Well the weather here in calgary has officially hit -35, so i need a block heater. I don't know which engine's block heater i need to put in the SR20DET. Could anyone that actually knows this info from personal experience, or friends tell me? Ive been told conflicting things about the SR20DE one going in...

I can say i have ever heard of block heaters for RWD SR20's, you might have to go with trying to adapt the FWD SR20DE one, the blocks are almost identicle.

Good question...we don't have a big demand for them here in Alabama.

Does anyone know if the SR20DET and the SR20DE share the oil pan in the same place, and all the necessary things for a block heater to work?

the lower oil pan is slightly different if i recall correctly, other than that, all the water and oil lines going in and out of the block should be the same. The intake manifolds are also different.
