Hey guys... I'm the newest member to the NICO forums as of now. Just got my SR20DET S13 black top in my 90 240sx fastback a few days ago partially due to this forum, so just wanted to give u all props on providing a valuable resource. I ended up getting my swap done at JDM Recycler after some posts I saw about them and it ended up being a pretty good deal. The whole swap only took them about 2 days since I was in a bit of a hurry to drive back up to San Francisco where I'm currently residing.

After 600 miles or so, the black top seems to be running great with no problems.. however, with the price I got ($2800+tax installed), the power steering was extra and they said they wouldn't be able to connect my AC. With the time constraints I wasn't able to take it to another shop in the area.

Anyways, I'm back in SF now, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some shops that are familiar with 240's and sr20s in the San Francisco area. I need to get my AC and powersteering back in. It's quite a work out without powersteering. =) Or do you guys think it'd be fairly easy to do it yourself? I know the AC and powersteering is on the other side on the 89-90 240s.. so I'd have to get custom lines going across.

There also seems to be a slow hydraulic clutch fluid leak by the clutch pedal that was there prior to the install that still hasn't been fixed. has anyone ever heard of that problem?

Alright, thanks guys.. any information is appreciated and I'll keep you guys updated.

The DOHC lines off a KA24DE are a direct fit so that doesnt need any fabrication. I'd let a shop deal with AC.

I know Venus-Auto is up in NorCal somewhere, don't know exactly where. As for the P/S lines, it's possible to do it with the engine in, but a little trickier. If you have any experience at all, it shouldn't be too hard to install the power steering. As for the A/C, I have to do the same thing as you. Just go to a shop that does A/C and they will cut and weld your hardline back together.

thanks for the tips, I'll will try to get the lines off a DOHC for the P/S. I'm gonna take the leaky clutch to a mechanic as I have no idea what's up with that..
