It's a volkswagen turbo. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

KKK turbos are made by Schwitzer (Borg Warner) and I wouldn't do it either.

what's the difference between a KKK or Tomei Arms? they're both journal bearing turbos. put out about the same WHP. can you guys please give details on WHY you wouldn't do it?

I know nothing about the Tomei Arms turbo, but I have read enough complaints about the KKK turbo to know that failure isn't rare, and finding a kit to rebuild one is a pita...

Go for the Tomei arms turbo, Tomei's are Mitsubishi based turbos. Most likely a TD05 variant, ton of parts around for these if it ever needs to be rebuilt.
