My friend and I went with a custom Home Depot boost controller that cost a total of $11.83. I know it isn't as great as a electronic boost controller but it gets the job done and works great. My RB20DET spools to 13psi and holds through almost the entire RPM range. All you need is a brass elbow, some threaded brass hose barbs, a spring, ball-bearing, vacuum line, and about 30-45 minutes and you're set. I got the idea off of
http://www.vfaq.com and searched for it. They have some pretty decent blueprints for it and it's pretty easy to do. At least it'll do until you decide on a permanent one.
