Okay, so I've posted about this a long time ago, and nobody had the info I was looking for. So I'm gonna try again.

Does anybody know where to get a recirculation attachment for the Blitz DD Bov? Or if not, how did you custom fab one? Even better, if you have a recirculation attachment that you want to sell, I'll be happy to pay you for it ASAP!

Before you reply:

1) No, I'm happy with my Blitz, and I will not go buy another bov i.e. HKS or Greddy.2) No, a Blitz flange does not work. The aperture in a Blitz flange is too big to cover the BOV hole.3) I'm not looking to cut off the end of the plastic SUS filter attachment.

Thanks in advance!

Oh nevermind, never read your #3.

I don't see how you are going to do it without hacking up the filter attatchment. Do you really care if you lose the "filter"

You're goung to have to do some welding and little bit of metal working to build something to fit that attatchment. Which will end up looking even more awful than chopping the filter.

Good luck.,

Actually, I could care less if I lose the attachment, it's just I assumed that it would come out sloppy and brittle if I went with a chopped-up-attachment. Also I did notice that the diameter of the tapered end on the filter attachment is way to big to fit a tube (after filter is hacked off).

But, have you successfully chopped your attachment and recirculated your bov setup? If so, please share with some details and pix!

Ya I wrote a whole writeup with pictures how I did it with hacking the filter, than after I posted I reread your post so I deleted mine. Anyways here is a more simplified version of my original deleted post

I cleanly chopped that whole filter off and went to a hydraulic store and bought a normal brass barbed fitting, I just brought the piece with me and found one that threaded nice and tight into the plastic hole where the filter used to be.

I forget exactly what I used but I just got some sealant that hardened and put it on the threads of the fitting (It was STIFF and wouldn't move at all once it was all dry)

Than from the last pic I just got more sealant stuff and put it in the backWorked quite well, Don't remember what size the fitting/hose was though.

Sweet! Thanks robbbby! After scouring through different web boards and searching on google, you're the only person that had some info.

I need to make a recirculation attachment too, and I'll be back to post an update when it all works out.

Ohh, and before I go out and start cutting away, how does your car feel after recirculating with the Blitz? Is the tendency to stall from blowing off almost gone?

For the recirc. attatchment I just bought a piece of pipe the same diameter and the hose/barbed fitting and welded it onto the intake.Just checked the fitting fits a 3/4" or 19mm ID hose.

To be honest I never ended up driving it like that. I did all the work and stuff and before I finished the car into driveable condition I ended up switching over to a MAP setup. You should definately have no problems though as along as you use a fairly good size hose to move all the air. It should cure the stalling problem completely. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Oh ya to seal it all in there tight so the fitting doesn't thread/pull out I THINK I used permatex Black liquid gasket.
