Hey guys, looking on picking up a 91 "supposedly" TT on Monday but the thing is it comes with 2 Blitz BOV's. First off, are BOV's legal in CA? If not, is there a loophole because I bought it like that? Aside from that though what really has me worried is that I haven't seen Blitz making BOV's for the 300ZX, the only other one that I found wasn't from them, and looks more like a bullet than anything else, the ones on this care are trumpet like, anyone got any input on this?

Blitz used to make a Z32 specific kit but it has been discontinued for a few years. The kit replaced the two outer intercooler hoses with hardpipes flanged for the Blitz BOV's.

It could also have universal Blitz and flanges welded into existing hard pipes.

I can't help with the question about them being legal in CA.

Actually those are the exact same ones bro! I've never dealt with a turbo setup myself, but I was wondering, BOV don't differ in gains when it comes to different brands right? Their just for letting off pressure and that's all, am I correct?

BOV'd don not give you any "gains" their only prupose is to vent wasted air to the atmosphere between shifts which would otherwise backup and cause the impeller on the turbo to slow between shifts, the stock TT comes with recirculation valves, pretty much the same thing but they out the wasted air back into the intake before the turbo, it's quieter and unless your running a stand alone managment system venting to the atmosphere causes a momentary rich condition, so if anything they hurt your performance unless you're using the recirculation type or running them with an aftermarket engine managment system
