The BOV will work but it will be prone to stalling since you are releasing metered air to the atmosphere.

So you mean every time the BOV releases pressure my car will die?? Since the BOV is pretty much only doing its thing when i am shifting it wont really matter then right??

I had a Blitz on my SR in my S13.Worked great.

Car was powerful and running the right AF's and made a fun whoosh sound when I shifted.

if you're running no cat, you'll have fireballs (which may or may not be a good thing, depending on whom you want to impress, or how anal police are in your area)

reason being, an atmos bov will release air that has already been metered by your mafs. for example, if the mafs records 100 units of air, and your atmospheric bov releases 80 units of air, only 20 units of air will reach the throttle body, causing the car to run rich.

it's usually a good idea to recirculate on a mafs setup.

i went from atmos to recirc and noticed a big increase in driveability and response.

I do like the sound of having some fireballs lol as i do not have a cat or a muffler just downpipe and straight 3 inch exhaust but i do understand that it would respond better with the recirc, I guess I will play with the fire for now.
