The torque spec for the flywheel to the cranshaft is 62-68 ft lbs. And the clutch cover bolts are 32 ft lbs. Please also note that this is the specifications for the SR20 S13/S14 active single plate clutch (new version).

That torque spec on the flywheel is incorrect, they must have been looking at the auto transmission flywheel.

The only way the torque spec they gave you would make sense is if for some reason the Blitz clutch/flywheel combo is supposed to be torqued to the same torque spec as the Auto transmission Flywheel, that just does not sound logical to me.

This is straight from a 180sx FSM. All conversions were done 100% accurate you can do them yourself if you would like to double check. :)

I would seriously trust the information OM3GA is posting because not only has he been working with SR's for over 5 years, but because that info is directly from an FSM.

I've taken apart an automatic transmission while doing a manual to auto swap, and that spec is defintelly for the torque converter bolts, NOT the flywheel bolts in a manual transmission setup. The lower spec is justified on the torque converter because it has a spacer (lock washer type thing) that goes in between the bolt and the torque converter, not to mention the bolt itself is different than a flywheel bolt. :)
