I tried posting the below question on the Infiniti board, but didn't get any response. Curious if any Maxima or I30 owners might have had same experience as me below. Thanks.
========
Recently had some body work done on my 2008 M35x. When picked up the car the automatic windows acted a little unusual so the body shop did a manual reprogram of the car by doing a series of things turning car on and off. Fixed window issue, but now i notice that when accelerate fast or hit brakes fast that my passenger seat belt light indicator on the dash keeps on blinking. When i stop the car it goes off and doesn't come on when i start the car. Only after some type of brake/acceleration that's heavy does it turn back on.

Seems like the nightmare I had on my 2005 Nissan Armada where that had seatbelt lights coming on after that had some body work done. That blinking light issue was well documented on the Nissan Armada board along with the warning that Nissan will deny the problem and force the owner to replace the seat belt housing.

Anyone having issues on Maxima or Infiniti M35/45 like I'm describing? Suggestions? Thanks.

What sort of body work did you have done? Was it in a wreck?

Slight dent in driver's side back door. Not a wreck and the seatbelt light issue didn't occur for the few weeks before i got the body work done. My guess is they in some way turned off or impacted the electrical/computer system by disconnecting something before they did the work. As i said the automatic windows weren't working correctly when picked up the car and the body shop person did some series of turning car on & off that manually reset the electical/computer. I had similar issue with my Nissan as mentioned in my original post. Curious if this is a known bug with 2008 Nissan/Infiniti's and might have a simple fix or be known to Nissan for free repair. thanks for the question
