Search didn't give me a damn thing, so I came here. Sometimes when I start my car the overdrive light blinks rapidly then the light stays solid when O/D is enabled. It doesn't often but I've noticed it a few times. Was just wondering if something else needs to be fixed or not, cause I love fixing broken things causing more things to break and needing replacement :p I thought I ran into a thread on this a little while back but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone wanna share some input? Thanks

It's the "You need a manual transmission" light.

Well i did some searching and apparently it means there's a fault with the TCM and you should pull codes. There's supposedly a thread in 240 Convertible that covers Auto transmission problems and explains how to pull codes...but I couldn't find it.

something is wrong. My light use to go crazy because I converted to manual and eventually I took the light out.

It's your car letting you know you're driving an autotragic.

Wow man, thanks! I lost that link out of my bookmarks!

If you really wanna know what code's you're throwing, drive over to autozone and borrow one of their diagnostic tools. They let you use them for free... saved me alot of time when I swapped the DE into my 89.

See, if you had said that in the first place, neither of us would have to make an *** out of ourselves.

Thanks, I'll check out any nearby Autozones, but I'm in fear of what I might find in the parking lot :p
